OUR BACKGROUND

Queen of Compost was created as an extension of an independent student research project by Camila Guzman at California State University Channel Islands. The vision was to implement compost strategies into urban and suburban settings as a way to mitigate some of the negative effects of climate change. Mostly, we like to play in the dirt! Now, the vision is coming to a community near you! We are committed to raising awareness about food waste, composting and regenerative agriculture. We believe that every person can make a big difference through the very act of composting.
